Progress in art

My kaupapa is about nature as you can see from my artworks it's all about nature you can see turtles, flowers, and leaves. I use the Japanese wave patterns, Japanese wave patterns or they called it seigaiha is a pattern of layered concentric circles creating arches, symbolic of waves or water, and representing surges of good luck. It can also signify power and resilience.

On the first 3 artworks, it's a simple introduction about my kaupapa I put a flower, turtle, and a leaf and I draw it with a pencil the background of it is made of different seigaha or Japanese waves or patterns with watercolor.

The next artwork is a big wave with a wave pattern on the background that is also made of charcoal or pencil. I did a little mistake on it because I'm not supposed to put a black pen line on it but I put it to show or highlight the wave.

The last artwork is made of lino cutting. I divide the artwork into 3 layers and put a border on every layer. Probably I will change this one to a laser painting and make something on it so it will look too simple.

The next step I will try is laser printing. I will try different artworks on it. The watercolor is working well on it but I think I need to add more color or a color scheme because I was too focused on the blue color and it looks too boring so probably I will put more color.  

Art

For the start of the year we are learning some famous artist and their artworks. This year I want to focus on doing some Geographical trait and put landscape and patterns. On my painting I want to put some environmental things or nature. I've chosen this topic because I just wanna show how beautiful the world is and I wanna show it through designing or art. The media I will work with is Photography and Paint. The two artist that I selected from 1.1 are Lisa Reihana and Robyn Kahukiwa from list one, and Jacob Yikes and Vincent Van Gogh from list two.



The artist that I interested to for my Kaupapa is Marilyn Webb. I'm thinking to put on my theme some landscape, sky, mountains  and I also want to put animals on it. I'm going to use some paints or maybe watercolours on it and do some sketches.  I want to use some animals or self portrait to be my main subject. I choose painting because for me it is easy to do it on paper rather than a digital

Coronovirus- Esol

The news that interest me the most is the nCoV also known as "Corona Virus". Corona Virus is a disease that has already killed over a hundred people this month. This virus is transmitted between animals and people. This virus came from exotic animals that people from China are eating. This disease doesn't have a cure yet and it's easily transmitted to people around you. This disease has gone viral in many country around the world. The main common symptoms of this disease are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Surprisingly, this disease hasn't spread yet to third world countries. This is because infected people don't usually travel to poor countries.

I'm interested in this topic because of its one of the most unexpected diseases in the world. It got my attention because I can also be infected, my family and friends. I'm also interested because it gonna be one of the most historical diseases in the world. It spread to a thousand people and killed a hundred people.

This news or disease has a big impact on everyone, especially on every family. This disease mostly has a big impact on China. People in other countries don't want to be close or attached to the Chinese people. This also has a big impact on Asia or places outside or around china because people around there can be easily infected, also food supplies, face masks, water resources, and clothes are also running out. People in another countries are also worried that maybe someday that killer disease will arrive in their country.

This news makes me think that if Chinese people don't eat exotic foods maybe the world is safe and nothing to worry about. I'm also wondering what if this virus spread all over the world and they still don't have the cure for it, what will happen to the world?.
