Design blogpost 10 3.1 and 3.2

Design Blogpost 9 3.1 and 3.2

This are some fonts the I collected to use for my design.

Design Blogpost 7 3.1 and 3.2: colour palettes, texture and shapes.

I only came up with these 4 shapes because these are the shapes that I will be using for my business design.
These are some of the forms that I like from trademarks and symbols I tried to cut them with paper as well so I can easily combine them with the shapes that I come up with.

Using remove.bg it helps me remove the background of the drawing so I easily rearrange and design them how I wanted. I also use illustrator to do these 5 designs. For these drawings, I need to show or demonstrate repetition, positive and negative space, Framing, Cropping, Scale, and Layering.

In the first and last drawings, we can see a positive and negative space in the last drawing the white color between the 2 elements gives an arrow shape. The 4th pics show the scaling and repetition of elements and the second pic also shows the repetition of shape/element (waterdrop shape). The 3rd drawing shows the cropping of elements, I divided the shape into two and rearrange it to make a new design.

Design Blogpost 6 3.1 and 3.2

The name of my business that I came up with is 'Anais'.  I am working on a few fonts and a geometric logo. In my design triangle is one of the shapes that more likely gonna work on my design because of the A's. I am trying to look for some cursive fonts as well because it is more likely to represent my brand's personality, values, and tone. Here are some ideas that I came up with for my Logo/ fonts for my design:

Design Blogpost 5 3.1 and 3.2

Here is my Mood Board for my 3 chosen artist in Traditional, Contemporary, and Aeteroa:

Traditional by Joseph Muller- Brockmann

As we can see on this artwork by Joseph Muller Brockman the focal point in this poster is the motorcyclist on the middle between 2 cars. The elements that appear rather significant than the rest are the vehicles due to which this hierarchy is created. An element in the poster which appears to be hierarchical is the size of the vehicles. Naturally, the audience will look at the largest element of the design. Therefore, their attention will be drawn to the vehicle closest to their view. Another one is the shapes in the poster. We tend to look at irregular shapes first rather than common shapes. The use of the limited amount of colors (black, white, and yellow) is displayed within the poster. Adding to that, it helps lead the audience’s attention to the significant part/s of the whole design. Color is a strategy used to display the emotion or mood of the design. The color yellow is associated with the feeling of consciousness or warning, which is why this poster is about road safety . The colors emote caution or sort of awareness. To maintain the importance of the use of color, scales and visual weight provides assistance with it. The golden ratio works in this image. The motorcycle shows that it is the main subject on the poster. The cars and motorcycle comes out to be the positive space while the white background shows as negative space. The Typography- On the top of the poster we can see there's a written word says “Uberholen…?” and “Im Zweifel nie!”, it means Overtaking? When in doubt, never?

Contemporary by Jonathan Barnbrook

He uses 4 different strong warm colors and keeping it really simple makes the unity more obvious. These strong colors stimulate the visual sense and direct attention. The colors in this poster are both assorted and limited. Therefore it makes it simple to contrast elements and allow them to be unique but still prompt a sense of unity. The white ink leads the audience to focus on what the poster is all about. The colors are analogous, this means that they tend to be harmonious in nature, as well as assist with creating visual unity. He uses a vertical line to put the letters. It makes it easier for the audience to identify the typefaces and the design of every character.

Aeteroa by Joseph Churchward

Jonathan Barnbrook is more likely to known as a Typhography artist.  In this poster we can see the proximity within the letters are close, making them unified. It appears to be a group of numbers as they are grouped closely together. The visual characteristics used in this design include repetition in color, allowing the elements to come into view as related to each other. An example of this is the numbers is being similar by their font. The numbers are also alined on a common position. (Elements are along the central axis). The elements flow together making the overall effect of the design to be visually unified. This helps to create harmony within the design. This artwork shows a vintage feeling or effect to the audience. The design visible at the top and bottom of the page that contains spiral strokes likewise to the text represents symmetrical balance. This is also an example of reflective symmetry (pointing to the design) both designs mirror each other on a horizontal axis. It is assertive that the colors balance each other as only a limited of two colors are used, (orange and brown/gray). Therefore, no visual tension is created within the colors. Graphic design is used in this typography to make an adjustment in the texts within the design. Along with creating powerful content. This can be seen as the texts are lined up equally. The artist used this to make this design come out as attractive, as well as preserving the aesthetic value of this content.

Design Blog post 3 3.1 and 3.2: My Brief

WHAT IS MY BRIEF?

  1. What is your brand or business?
These are some notes that I gathered for a business idea most of my ideas are more likely to be feminine products. For my business, I will do a skin care products company like toner, moisturizers, mist, lip balm, etc.

2.  What is the purpose of your business?
The ingredients that I will be using for my skincare product are some organic and natural ingredients. The purpose of using organic and natural ingredients is that it is environmentally free. One of the main reasons to use organic ones is that they are safe and more effective than synthetic ingredients.

3. Who is your target audience?
Most of my target audience would be young adults between 16-30 yrs old. Probably people at this age already got their puberty and one of the most problems during this age is face breakouts so it is probably a good idea to have a target audience in this kind of generation.
